After a rather bustling start to a rather interesting year, I like to plan my flavorful excursions well in advance – so as to avoid any last minute brew-ha-ha over hotel accommodations and the like. This is precisely what prompted me to rifle through my getty-up bag and drag out my calendar! Flipping through the pages for each month, I glance at places I’ve been, places that I want to schedule to go, and then it hit me like a ton of bricks – I haven’t made my reservations for the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience yet!
Now if you haven’t heard of this little gem of an event, I highly suggest it for any wine lover/foodie or ANYONE who loves both combined with copious amounts of excitement, beautiful automobiles and the ambiance of the French Quarter to boot!
Celebrating the 23rd Annual Wine & Food Experience one will find over 1,000 wines from around the globe to sample, as well as more than 2 dozen gourmet culinary experiences, all on display in one location. Perusing from booth to booth, those who attend this fabulous fare can expect to get up close and personal with some of the top chefs and winemakers for a personal experience to compare to none other.
In addition to the many vendors, one should make certain to attend the famed Louisiana Seafood King Cook-off as part of your adventure! Ten of the top chefs, hand-picked and selected from all over the great State of Louisiana will be dishing it out in a head-to-head showdown for their chance to be crowned “Louisiana Seafood King”.
So raise your glass and save room to savor the New Orleans Wine & Food Experience!
